Crowd Attacks Police Officers With Fireworks
A large-scale street takeover escalated into violence against officers early Saturday morning in Secaucus.

Around 2:31 a.m., police responded to reports of more than 100 vehicles "taking over" the intersection of Secaucus Road and County Avenue. Witnesses reported drivers performing dangerous stunts, including donuts, while spectators recorded the activity, police said.
The situation quickly deteriorated when officers arrived on scene. More than 50 people surrounded police vehicles, with some climbing onto marked patrol cars and causing damage. The crowd then began firing fireworks directly at and underneath police vehicles, authorities said.

1 Killed, More Injured In Car Crash
A person has died following a multi-vehicle car crash in Chester this weekend, police said.
On Saturday, around 3:30 p.m., Chester police were called to the intersection of US Highway 206 and Fox Chase Road on a report of a car crash with “severe injuries.”

1 Killed, 5 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash
A 21-year-old woman was killed early Saturday morning in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 West in Hillside Township, according to media reports.
The crash occurred around 2 a.m. near milepost 53.4 when a Honda SUV changed lanes and struck a Toyota SUV. A Ford carrying Genna Spina, 21, of Denville, hit the Honda, causing the Ford to overturn before being struck by a Chevrolet. Spina was ejected from the Ford and died from her injuries, NJ.com reported.
The Ford's driver sustained serious injuries, the Toyota and Chevrolet drivers suffered moderate injuries, and two Chevrolet passengers, including an 11-year-old, had minor injuries.
Suspected Human Remains Found In Woods
Authorities are investigating the discovery of suspected human remains in Atlantic County.
Police responded to the wooded area alongside Tuckahoe Road in Estell Manor shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday. The investigation is ongoing.

Police Vehicles Damaged In Suspicious Fire
Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire that damaged multiple city police vehicles Saturday night in Hackensack, according to media reports.
The blaze broke out just after 8 p.m. at 78 Trinity Place, an overflow parking lot for unoccupied police cars. No injuries were reported.
Police and firefighters determined the fire appeared suspicious and contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Arson Squad, according to northjersey.com.
The investigation is ongoing.
