Enjoy the Fireworks and Meet Your Patch Staff

South Brunswick Patch will be manning a booth and helping to raise money for Hugs for Brady, the local childhood cancer organization, at Saturday's fireworks.

South Brunswick puts on a fabulous fireworks show.

Last year, with the fireworks display in jeopardy, the community came together to save it -- and in the process, expanded upon what had been a pretty good event.

The Independence Day Celebration, which will start Saturday at 5 p.m., now features not only music and the "rockets red glare," but food and games and a chance to meet your neighbors and all of the important members of the community.

In many ways, the event has taken over for Community Unity Day and it is a tremendous amount of fun -- which is why South Brunswick Patch will be participating. We will have a booth at the event and will be giving away Patch items and encouraging local residents to sign up for our newsletter. There will be things for the kids to do, as well, and a chance to meet the folks who bring you South Brunswick Patch.

Our hope is that everyone stops by to say hello, get their picture taken for our Web site and make a donation to Hugs for Brady.
