Expect 'Slippery' Morning Commute Thursday In South Brunswick
Snow and icy roads could affect the Thursday morning commute, said South Brunswick OEM. Here's the latest:
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — If you're driving to work Thursday morning, you may want to factor in some delays in the commute. According to forecasters, snow and rain could result in treacherous road conditions affecting morning traffic.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.
The South Brunswick Township Office of Emergency Management is monitoring a storm that may produce snow overnight and into tomorrow morning’s commute.

New Jersey will primarily see rain along a cold front Wednesday night, but the shift to snow could occur around sunrise at 7:16 a.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Leave extra time to commute, and be sure to drive with extra caution, the OEM said.

Here's the forecast:
- Wednesday: Rain before 5 a.m, then rain and snow. Low around 34. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Little or no snow accumulation is expected.
- Thursday morning: Rain and snow before 11 a.m., then a chance of snow between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Temperature falling to around 27 by 5 p.m. North wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible.
- Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. North wind around 10 mph.
