FedEx Truck Destroyed By Fire In South Brunswick

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A FedEx delivery truck was destroyed in a fire in South Brunswick on Friday, police said.

The incident happened while firefighters were battling a house fire on Old Ridge Road.

Around 2:53 p.m., while firefighters were battling the blaze on Old Ridge Road, crews were dispatched to Ash Court in the Whispering Woods development for a reported truck fire.

Firefighters from Brookview and Griggstown, who were covering South Brunswick fire stations, responded to the scene to find a FedEx delivery van on fire approximately 20 feet away from the townhouse.

The firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire with no damage to the building.

No injuries were reported. The South Brunswick Township Fire Safety Bureau is investigating.
