Update: South Brunswick Roads Closed Due To Flooding Now Open

(All roads have been reopened and are currently passable)

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Heavy overnight rains have caused a portion of Route 1 and other roads in South Brunswick to be closed Monday morning, authorities said.

Currently, there's flash flooding in various parts of the Township.

As of 11:45 a.m., the following roads are closed due to flooding or have been affected:

• ROUTE 1 SOUTH AT PROMENADE BOULEVARD: All traffic is being diverted off the highway towards Route 27
• DEANS LANE - Flooding under the train bridge is closing the road.
• Route 1 North is a single lane at Raymond Road.
• There is heavy flooding on Route 27 and Stillwell Road.
• There is heavy flooding on New Road Near Route 1.
• Route 1 northbound between Ridge Road and Raymond Road closed due to flooding
• Blackhorse Lane between Henderson Road and Progress Road closed due to flooding
• Jughandle from Rt. 1 South to Raymond Road closed due to flooding
