A grand jury in Middlesex County gave Lodzinski a one-count-indictment on July 31 charging her with the murder of her son, Timothy Wiltsey. She told authorities her son disappeared at a carnival in Sayreville in May 1991. Wiltsey’s skeletal remains were found in 1992 in Edison in a remote section of Raritan Center.
The indictment charged that Lodzinski killed her son in South Amboy, Sayreville, Edison or in another Middlesex County municipality. The time period for the murder is determined to be sometime between when he was reported missing and when his remains were found on April 23, 1992.

Lodzinski continued to change her account of the events that occurred the day her son disappeared.
Authorities claimed that Lodzinski had always been and remained the top suspect in the case.
Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey said in a statement that a new investigation was conducted in the murder and disappearance of Timothy Wiltsey and the matter was presented to a grand jury.
It is unclear whether the Port St. Lucie, Fla. resident will waive extradition and return to New Jersey.
