Born and raised on a farm near Colwich, Kansas, this self-described "regular guy" served with distinction in World War II, earning both a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service.

After returning to Kansas, Freddy started a family and built a 56-year career in hospitality. His family values and patriotic service became the cornerstone of the Freddy's brand philosophy.
