Kendall Park Man Charged with Tampering, Leaving the Scene of Motorcycle Crash

A Kendall Park man has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash and trying to remove damage to his vehicle.

A Kendall Park man has been charged with tampering with evidence and leaving the scene of an accident following a March 10 crash in East Brunswick that sent a man to the hospital.

According to a report on NJ.com, Marcus Creer, 37, of South Brunswick, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury and tampering with evidence.

Creer was involved in the March 10 accident when he made a turn from the Route 18 south exit ramp onto Main Street, allegedly cutting off John Ovaduke, 59, of Spotswood who skidded out, sideswiping the rear driver's side of Creer's 2006 Pontiac G6 as the bike went down.

Ovaduke was thrown from the bike, which slid into traffic on the other side of the road and was struck by a van. No charges were issued against the driver of the van, who was not injured.

According to the NJ.com report, Creer told authorities that he did not realize until he arrived at home that his vehicle had been involved in a collision.

"Circular-swirl marks" were present on the side of Creer's car, as if to buff out damage, according to the report. 

Ovaduke was hospitalized at the time of the crash, but has since been released, according to the report.
