Kingston Historical Society, South Brunswick Girl Scouts Recruiting This Week
Events in and around South Brunswick this week.

Knitting and Crocheting Group, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 7 p.m.
The group meets to knit, crochet and do other fiber arts and to share tips, patterns, and good conversation. The group is open to anyone (14 years and older) who knows how to knit or crochet; knitting and crocheting instruction is not provided. No registration is necessary. Help Brian Beat Cancer, Chili's North Brunswick, 867 U.S Highway 1 South, 11 a.m.
Let Chili's do the cooking while supporting cancer victim Brian Forbes at the same time. If you come in and let them know that this is the reason upon your visit, Chili's will donate 10 percent of your check to Brian Forbes.
Wednesday
South Brunswick Girl Scout Recruitment Night, Crossroads North Middle School cafeteria A, 7 p.m.
Scouts will be forming troops for the 2013-2014 scouting year. Troops can only be formed if they have adult volunteers, so please be prepared to help out.
Kingston Historical Society Annual Meeting, Kingston Firehouse, 6 Heathcote Road, Kingston, 7:30 p.m.
William Flemer IV will give an illustrated talk on Princeton Nurseries. Grandson of the Nurseries' founder and son of renowned plants man William Flemer III, he will offer a uniquely personal history of the family business. Princeton Nurseries' Kingston Site ultimately encompassed over 1,200 acres in South Brunswick, Plainsboro and Franklin Townships. The Kingston Site closed in 1995, but over 240 acres have been preserved as a cultural landscape for the benefit of all.
