Man Brandished Knife During Road Rage Incident In South Brunswick: PD
A 27-year-old North Brunswick man was arrested and charged following the incident, police said.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A North Brunswick man was arrested and charged after a road rage incident on Route 1, Monday, South Brunswick Police said.
Luis Valentin, 27, of North Brunswick was charged with terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
At 3:25 p.m. on Monday, police received a 911 call reporting that a driver of a white Mercedes-Benz was threatening a man as they headed south on Route 1.

The victim said the driver of the Mercedes Benz was throwing coins and spitting at his car, and also pulled out a knife threatening to kill him when they stopped at a traffic light, police said.
According to the victim, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, identified later as Valentin, was yelling that the victim cut him off in traffic.

Sgt. Salvatore Fama was on Route 1 south and observed the Mercedes-Benz in the area of New Road and conducted a motor vehicle stop.
Valentin told Fama he was cut off by another car and they had a road rage dispute, police said.
Sgt. Fama and Officer Joseph Penney conducted a search of the Mercedes-Benz and recovered a knife.
Valentine was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing. He was released on a summonses pending his first court appearance.
