Monmouth Junction Boy Qualifies for National GeoBee State Competition

The Crossroads North student is one of 100 children statewide to qualify.

Eighth grade Monmouth Junction student Siddharth Kurella qualified to represent Crossroads North Middle School in the state level of the National Geographic Geography Bee this month.

Getting to the National GeoBee is no easy feat. Students first competed at the school level against their classmates, answering questions like, "Which of the following cities has the least average annual rainfall? Sydney, Belize City or Kabul?"

Then the local champions had to take a standardized test to qualify for the state competition. Only the top 100 scores were accepted.
