Portion Of Route 27 In South Brunswick To Close Overnight For 2 Months

At least one lane will remain open in both directions during construction, NJ DOT said.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Paving and milling work is ongoing in many parts of the township. The New Jersey Department of Transportation has now scheduled construction on Route 27, spanning Somerset and Middlesex counties.

Starting at 8 p.m. on Monday, until 6 a.m. the next day, at the same times for around two months, single-lane closures are scheduled on Route 27 in both directions between Cardinal Court in South Brunswick and Veronica Avenue, Franklin Township/How Lane, New Brunswick.

The closures are necessary for milling and paving, NJDOT said.

The work is part of a $10.1 million state-funded maintenance project to make road repairs in Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties.

Work includes milling and paving, and curb and inlet reconstruction.
