Public Hearing on Noise Ordinance, Traffic and Weather

What's up in South Brunswick Tuesday.

The Township Council will meet tonight with a vote on the second reading and public hearing for an ordinance that will alter South Brunswick's noise standards on loud bass rhythm.

The Township Council last month approved the first reading of the ordinance that seeks to mitigate the impact of thumping bass rhythm from loud music. The township was prompted to push for the changes after receiving several complaints regarding heavy bass rhythm, which falls under a different scale than other noise covered in the town's ordinance.

Tonight the public will have an opportunity to share their thoughts on the move before the council votes. Here's what else is going on in town today.

1. Today's forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high of 72 degrees. Overnight the temperature will drop to 45 degrees.
