SBEA Honors South Brunswick Parents

The SBEA Pride Committee recently presented 15 Parents of South Brunswick students with the Partners in Education Award.

The award was presented to acknowledge and thank the parents for supporting the teachers during the recent contract negotiation period. The parents either wrote letters to the Board of Education or local media to support the SBEA teachers, or bravely stood up at a Board of Education meeting to speak in support of SBEA teachers.

Those honored with the award were Jacquie Nelson, Jill Rubenstein, Mamta Thapar, Iman Elazabawi, Melissa Galya, Rachel Gorgalez, Angela Hargrove, Allen Kurdyla, Steven Lahet, Sherry and Brian Manzino, Kim Myre, Arvind Sodhi, and Fran White.

Since 1994, NJEA has conducted the PRIDE in Public Education campaign, a statewide effort to share the successes of public education with all New Jerseyans and build strong community support for and involvement in our public schools.

The SBEA truly appreciates our Partners in Education
