See Who's Leading In South Brunswick BOE Race: Unofficial Results

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — As of Wednesday morning one incumbent was trailing behind in a tightly contested School Board race in South Brunswick.

This election cycle, five candidates were vying for three open seats on the school board - Barry Nathanson, Lisa Rodgers, Deepa Karthik, Rajesh Soni and Sujata Raj.

With 30 districts reporting, as of Wednesday morning, incumbent Barry Nathanson is trailing Rajesh Soni by over 200 votes.

Incumbents Rodgers and Karthik maintained their leads.

Here's the latest results from the Middlesex County Clerk's Office:

• Barry Nathanson - 7,209 (18.68%)
• Lisa Rodgers -8,531 (22.10%)
• Deepa Karthik -7,980 (20.67%)
• Rajesh Soni - 7,473 (19.36%)
• Sujata Raj - 7,175 (18.59%)

Mail-in ballots will continue to be counted. The official results of the 2024 General Election will be certified by the County Board of Canvassers on or before November 20, 2024 .
