South Brunswick Announces New Fall Sports Program For Children
In collaboration with US Sports Institute, the South Brunswick Recreation Department is offering fall sports for children aged 3-7.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK — The South Brunswick Township Department of Parks and Recreation announced its new fall sports program on Wednesday.
The program is a collaborative effort between the South Brunswick Recreation Department and the US Sports Institute.
The town is offering Soccer Squirts – an introductory session on soccer for boys and girls, aged 3-7. Children will learn fundamental soccer skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, stealing the ball, shielding and defending.

Each session will include a warm-up game, followed by activities and instructions on skills. Each child will then be given the opportunity to showcase their newly-learnt skills in a game related activity, or scrimmage.
The sports initiative is part of the township’s new “Outside Program,” where it engages students to participate in outdoor activities, to help build confidence and boost creative thinking.

All programs will be held at the Woodlot Park, on 125 New Road.
The classes are scheduled every Sunday, beginning Sep. 20 until Nov. 1.
The enrollment fee is $145. Children will also be offered other sporting activities like lacrosse, cricket, t-ball and more.
