Incumbents, Patel Lead South Brunswick BOE Race 2025: Unofficial Results

Four spots on the BOE are at stake. Here are the unofficial results in South Brunswick's Board of Education race.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — The polls have closed, and unofficial results are in for the 2025 South Brunswick BOE race.

With all 30 districts reporting, incumbents Laura Hernandez, Alisha Khan and Barry Nathanson and candidate Deven M. Patel are leading the race.

According to Middlesex County, Hernandez got the highest number of votes 7,077 (22.32%), followed by Khan 7,056 (22.25%), Nathanson 6,903 (57.07%) and Patel 5,264 (16.60%).

While Hernandez, Khan and Patel and seeking a three-year term, Nathanson is seeking a two-year unexpired term, a vacancy which opened after a BOE member's resignation earlier this year.

All election results remain unofficial until certified by the Middlesex County Clerk's Office on a later date.
