South Brunswick High School Grad Drafted By Buffalo Bills

Justin Shorter, who graduated from South Brunswick High School in 2018, was drafted by the Buffalo Bills during round 5 of the NFL draft.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – South Brunswick High School graduate, Justin Shorter, was drafted by the Buffalo Bills during round 5 of the NFL draft over the weekend.

Born in Princeton, Shorter moved to South Brunswick and graduated from the High School in 2018.

He was introduced to football in eighth grade and played as a cornerback and receiver at the high school, according to the Buffalo Bills.

Shorter “helped his high school to a state title as a sophomore and then again two years later as a senior captain. He earned second team All-American, first team All-State and All-Conference honors,” the team said.

Shorter played for Penn State at the beginning of his college career and then moved to Florida in 2020, where he played as a full-time starter for the final two seasons in 2021 and 2022.

Congratulation poured in from the local police department after Shorter was drafted on Saturday. "Congratulations to South Brunswick's very own Justin Shorter on being selected in NFL Draft," the Police Department said on Twitter.
