South Brunswick Independence Day Festival: What You Need to Know
Parking, traffic and everything you need to know to enjoy the celebration on July 5 at Crossroads Middle School.

A capacity crowd is expected Friday night for the annual fireworks display and Independence Day festival in South Brunswick.
The event will be held on the grounds in between Crossroads North and Crossroads South Middle School on the corner of Major Road and Kingston Lane. The festival starts at 6 p.m. with fireworks lighting up the sky around 9 p.m.
The festival will offer food vendors, free entertainment, activites and music provided by a DJ. Between 5,000 and 7,000 people are expected to attend the fireworks.
South Brunswick Police advise residents that there will be increased traffic in and around the school and surrounding area. Major Road, Kingston Lane and Georges Road will also have increased traffic throughout the evening.
Officers will be present in and around the area to assist with any traffic issues.
There is no parking allowed on Major Road near the school. The primary area for parking will be at the Crossroads South Middle School parking lots off of Kingston Lane.
There will be no general parking at the Crossroads North parking lot off Georges Road, but additional parking will be available at the South Brunswick Public Library and the Municipal Complex.
The greatest volume of traffic is anticipated to occur between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
The rain date for fireworks only is Saturday, July 6 at 8:45 p.m.
