South Brunswick Proposes $9.93 Million Infrastructure Bond For Upgrades
A second reading and public comments on the ordinance are scheduled for June 4.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The township council will be meeting on Wednesday, and on the agenda is a bond ordinance to fund several capital and utility improvement projects in town.
The ordinance proposes issuing negotiable bonds with a principal amount of $9,433,500 to cover the approximately $9,930,000 total cost of all planned improvements.
Around $496,500 will be made in several down payments.

The proposed infrastructure projects include:
- Fresh Impressions Roadway Improvements $2,155,000: Removal and replacement of concrete curbs and water lines
- Timber Ponds Roadway Improvements $2,083,265: Milling and overlay of roadways with drainage improvements
- Concrete curb removal and upgrades $1,716,781: Work planned for Darrow Court, Ritter Road, and part of Dundee Road
- Richard Road Roadway Improvements $1,722,001: Installation of concrete curbs and aprons with drainage improvements
- DPW Road Overlay Program $702,953: Preparation, milling, and 2' depth resurfacing of portions of Souts Lane, Kendall Road, and Kingsley Road
- Water distribution system replacement $1,550,000: New water mains at Darrow Court, Ritter Road, and part of Dundee Road
A second reading and public comments on the ordinance are scheduled for June 4, 6 p.m., during the council meeting.
