South Brunswick To Introduce Ordinance Adopting Redevelopment Plan For New Road Property
The redevelopment process began in February last year.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – South Brunswick council will introduce an ordinance during the Wednesday meeting to adopt a redevelopment plan for the 9.79-acre property at 208 New Road that currently houses a Days Inn Hotel.
The ordinance, scheduled for first reading, would allow the property—designated as Block 95, Lot 48.13—to be developed for multifamily residential buildings, mixed-use structures with residential units, or any combination of single-use, mixed-use or multiple-use buildings.
According to the ordinance, the redevelopment process began in February last year, when the council authorized the planning board to investigate whether the property qualified as a non-condemnation redevelopment area. The site is surrounded by a mix of undeveloped land.
