South Brunswick Man Charged In Connection With Fatal Shooting

Authorities said preliminary investigation indicates that it was an accidental shooting.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A South Brunswick man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in North Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Joseph Battaglia of the North Brunswick Police said.

On Saturday, around 10:38 p.m., the North Brunswick Police Department received a 911 call reporting a gunshot victim.

When police arrived at a residence on North Oaks Boulevard they found Mark Song, 24, of Kendall Park, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigation, Saad Salahie, 24, of Kendall Park, was the perpetrator., Ciccone said.

On Sunday, Salahie was arrested without incident and charged with second-degree Reckless Manslaughter and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
