South Brunswick, Princeton Service Clubs Unite For Environmental 5K

The 5k will take place at North Brunswick Township Community Park.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Princeton Lions Club and South Brunswick Leo Club will host their 5K Run & Walk for Environmental Awareness on June 8 at North Brunswick Township Community Park. The event combines fitness with environmental advocacy under the theme "Run Green; Breathe Clean!"

The race features partnerships with the Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership (LRWP) and New Jersey Audubon, creating a coalition of local service organizations and environmental advocacy groups.

Participants can choose between a 5K run ($25) or walk ($15), with check-in beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the race starting at 9:30 a.m.

LRWP brings expertise in water quality protection and Raritan River watershed research, while New Jersey Audubon contributes knowledge about bird habitat conservation and nature education.

For area residents, the event offers an opportunity to support environmental initiatives while participating in community fitness activities.
