South Brunswick’s Von Thun's Farms Debuts Sesame Street Corn Maze This Fall

The over five-acre mazes will be open daily through Nov. 2.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – In celebration of Sesame Street’s “Road Trip Across America”, Von Thun’s Farms in South Brunswick has opened a nostalgic corn maze featuring some of America’s favorite characters from the beloved PBS show. The over five-acre mazes will be open daily through Nov. 2. The maze will also be featured at their Washington, NJ farm.

Von Thun’s is one of over 35 farms featuring Sesame Street in their corn maze this year. Collectively, the farms—which are designed by The MAiZE Inc. in 21 states or provinces across the U.S. and Canada—will reach up to a million visitors during the fall season.

In 2023, Von Thun’s Farms made headlines in People and Entertainment Weekly when their Reba McEntire corn mazes were revealed, and again in 2024 with the reveal of their Luke Bryan corn mazes.

“Partnering with Sesame Street for this year’s maze was a no-brainer. It’s a show my parents and I loved as a kid and a show my own kid is growing up watching. We’re so excited for this maze to bring families together,” said Tim Von Thun, Manager at Von Thun’s Country Farm Market.

“Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love when folks make us a part of their family traditions.”

While navigating the mazes, visitors will look for clues and play an interactive game quizzing them on how much they know about Sesame Street, which premiered in 1969 and is currently airing its 54th season.

Von Thun’s will also have Sesame Street photo-ops and other farm fun along the way. Sesame Street has been ‘on the road’ this summer and will continue its travels this fall for its “Road Trip Across America.”

“This summer and fall, we’ll be joining in the fun at local family-friendly events across the country — from state fairs and Major and Minor League baseball games to farms and corn mazes,” Sesame Street said on its website.

“Whether it’s a weekday celebration or a weekend outing, these events are all about bringing communities together. Families and children can enjoy playful themed activities inspired by their favorite characters. Plus, don’t miss a special moment this season: Cookie Monster will serve as the Grand Marshal at the NASCAR Brickyard 400.”

The first phase of their corn mazes is short and perfect for young guests or those with limited walking ability. The second phase is nearly five acres with lots of twists and turns guaranteed to keep maze-goers on their toes. While navigating the maze, there are ten stops along the way where guests can answer a theme question and get a clue as to where to turn next.

The corn mazes at Von Thun’s opened for the season on Sept. 13 in conjunction with the farm’s Fall Festival Weekends.

The corn maze, along with hayrides, access to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, and more than 30 games and attractions suitable for all ages is included with all general admission tickets.

Tickets can be purchased online at a discount to save guests time when they arrive at the farm: www.vonthunfarms.com.
