SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick Township Council will vote Wednesday on resolutions to pursue state grant funding for two significant roadway improvement initiatives through the New Jersey Department of Transportation Trust Fund.

The township plans to submit applications under NJDOT's Fiscal Year 2026 Municipal Aid Program for the Beekman Road Pathway project and the Cardinal Court and Rochelle Drive Improvement Project. Both infrastructure upgrades have been recommended by the Township Engineer as priorities for the community.

"Township Council believes that it is in the best interests of its residents to submit applications for possible grant funds from the Transportation Trust Fund for projects recommended by the Township Engineer," according to the resolution language.

Following formal council approval, the grant applications will be forwarded to NJDOT for consideration. The Transportation Trust Fund Municipal Aid Program provides municipalities with financial assistance for local road improvements and transportation infrastructure projects.

The Wednesday council meeting represents a key step in South Brunswick's efforts to secure state funding that would help offset costs for these roadway enhancements, potentially saving township taxpayers significant expenses on essential infrastructure improvements.
