SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Come cheer on the South Brunswick girls' basketball team Friday night in the state semifinals! The Lady Vikings will take on Middletown South; the game will be at 6 p.m. at South Brunswick high school. Whoever wins Friday night's game goes on to the state finals next week.
In a nail biter of a game, South Brunswick beat Marlboro high school Wednesday, 45-42, to advance to the semifinals Friday. Amber Brown, Onoseta Ufuah and Alexis Royal were all standouts in the Wednesday night game.
"It's a long season and we're trying to have the girls keep the juice flowing and keep fighting," South Brunswick coach Jeff Johnson told NJ.com after the close Wednesday night win. "That was a good team we played tonight. They're really crisp and they don't make a lot of mistakes and we battled. We've been battling all year and we've won a lot of tight games. We just battled."
