SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — You've heard of Coffee With A Cop, but South Brunswick might be the only police department in the state to host Pizza with Police, where local kids are invited to hang out with police officers at a pizzeria.

The department held their first annual Pizza with Police this past Monday, and it was a huge success, the police said.

Pizza with Police was held at Tino’s Artisan Pizza Company on Rt. 27 in Kingston, owned by Tino Procaccini. Local Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker (D) was also in attendance (he lives nearby in Kingston).

“It was a great event that dozens of residents attended," said South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka. "It allowed for good conversations about concerns or issues residents had and everyone enjoyed the pizza. It may have been a rainy Monday, but you could not have told that by the crowd that came out.”

South Brunswick police thanked Procaccini. The department hopes to make Pizza with Police an annual event.
