NEW JERSEY — Police in New Jersey are investigating a ‘tragic boat accident’ which took place over the weekend. In Paterson, a 4-year-old child was stabbed multiple times and is currently hospitalized.

Teen Dismembered In Boating Accident

An 18-year-old from Wayne was dismembered in what authorities called a "tragic boating accident" Sunday off the coast of Harvey Cedars, police said.

The girl died after she was dismembered by a motor on a boat driven by her father, according to NBC Philadelphia, citing an unnamed law enforcement source.

New Jersey State Police told Patch the girl, Zeina Mahafzah, was on a raft being pulled by a boat in the waters off Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars.

Man Suffers Possible Shark Bite

A man was hospitalized on Sunday after possibly being bitten by a shark, according to media reports.

The incident took place around 9:30 a.m. when the man was swimming at Surrey Avenue Beach in Ventnor.

Authorities are currently working to confirm the details, but the shark was not seen by the swimmer or anyone around.

The man suffered lacerations to his hand and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment He is expected to recover.

E-Bike Rider Killed In Crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday in Kearny, New Jersey State Police said (NJSP).

The crash happened around 4:34 a.m. on I-280 west milepost 16 in Kearny Twp., Hudson County. As a result of the crash, the driver of the e-motorcycle, Kyle Silas, 52, of Orange, NJ, sustained fatal injuries.

According to an investigation, a Fly Wing electric motorcycle, Ford sedan, Toyota SUV and Dodge sedan were traveling westbound on I-280. In the area of milepost 16, the e-motorcycle collided with the Ford, NJSP said.

After the collision, the e-motorcycle was struck by the Toyota, causing Silas to be ejected, and he was then struck by the Dodge.

No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation

4-Year-Old Stabbed In Paterson

A 4-year-old child was hospitalized after being stabbed multiple times in Paterson, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office (PCPO).

Just after 4 p.m. Friday, Paterson police were dispatched to a home around East 24th Street and 10th Avenue. At the scene, officers found a child with multiple stab wounds, authorities said.

The child was brought to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center, where they were admitted and in stable condition as of Friday night.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been announced. No other information is currently available.
