Use Lego Education WeDo construction sets and Makey Makey to introduce children to robotics and to build skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics as well as creativity, language, literacy, and social studies. Both require some knowledge of Scratch programming.

Thursday
Crafts from the Earth - Adult Summer Reading Craft, South Brunswick Public Library, 110 Kingston Ln, Monmouth Junction, 1 p.m.
Come in and make some jewelry and/or a trivet using rocks and stones. This program will meet in the craft room. This is the second craft program for the Adult Summer Reading program. Bring a pair of needlenose pliers - or jewelry pliers if you have them. Other crafting supplies will be available; There will be a $5 materials fee for this program payable in the class.
Friday
"John's Magic Show" and "Movie in the Park," Beechwoods Park 137 Beekman Rd, 7 p.m.
This evenings is full of family fun activities. Starting at 7:00pm with our amazing "John's Magic Show." The Northeast's top magician will perform his magic under the stars. Children will be amazed. Following the magic show there will be a movie in the park. Come out to enjoy the movie, "The Lorax" under the stars. Movie start time will begin at dusk, approximately 8:45 p.m. There will be snack foods, water and ice cream available for purchase.
