Today: Get Your Chi on at SBPL, Traffic and Weather

Goings on in South Brunswick on Thursday.

Temperatures will warm up on Thursday after a fall chill made a not so welcome appearance this week.

Over at the South Brunswick Public Library, join the Tai Chi class for beginners today to enhance your physical exercise and mental cultivation. Here's what else you need to know today.

1. Today's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 76 degrees. Overnight the temperature will drop to 55 degrees.

2. Tai Chi instructor Jimmy Lee, who has studied Tai Chi Chuan since 1983 and has been teaching since 2004, offers a program that provides "improved coordination and integration of body and mind; promote brain development and enhanced function; increased leg strength leading to better stability and balance (and therefore decreasing the risk of falling); improved joint mobility and joint health leading to a decrease in pain and stiffness; relaxation and stress reduction; and improved breathing by using diaphragm breathing (also thereby massaging the abdominal organs)." The program runs from 11 a.m. to noon at the SBPL. Click here for more information.
