Man Stabbed, Woman Threatened In Ocean County

A Toms River man is accused of stabbing and critically injuring a man after showing up at an Ortley Beach home on Thursday to confront the victim and a woman, authorities said.

Authorities said Robertelli showed up at the home around 10:45 p.m. Thursday, and a fight ensued, resulting in Robertelli stabbing the victim several times.

The victim, a 52-year-old man, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

Victim In Monmouth County Death Investigation Was Shot

A Howell Township man was found dead of a gunshot wound in a vehicle, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said Friday evening.

Rolando Acte Mejia, 36, was found dead in the vehicle when Howell police answered a call at 6:41 a.m. Thursday on White Street, the prosecutor's office said.

Authorities were investigating at White Street and at Southport Drive in the vicinity of Chestnut Hill Road in the Candlewood section of Howell, the prosecutor's office said.

Child Brought Homemade Bombs To Moorestown Home

A Moorestown child is under investigation after placing homemade explosives at a township home, officials said Sunday.

Police were alerted Saturday of a potential Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at a Cove Road home, where they searched the premises and confirmed an IED was present.

Bomb squads removed the explosives and detonated them at a nearby Public Works yard.

Truck Crashes Into Kohl’s Building

A driver accidentally backed his truck into the front entrance of a Khol’s in Washington Township on Sunday, police said.

It happened around 1:15 p.m. at Kohl's of Turnersville on Route 42. Photos show a truck shattered the glass doors at the entrance and stopped partially inside the store, adjacent to some clothing racks.
