Water Discoloration In Some South Brunswick Areas Due To Hydrant Flushing
The discoloration is temporary and will resolve as the flushing process continues.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick residents and businesses in the Dayton and Monmouth Junction areas are experiencing discolored water following fire hydrant flushing activities near a Miller Road supply well on Tuesday afternoon.
The South Brunswick Township Water Department is actively flushing hydrants throughout the affected neighborhoods to clear the water system. The discoloration is temporary and will resolve as the flushing process continues.
Residents experiencing discolored water should run cold water faucets in their homes for at least five minutes until the water runs clear.
