Woman Struck And Killed By Train In South Brunswick

The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m. Monday between Jersey Avenue and Princeton Junction.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A woman was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in South Brunswick on Monday night.

Around 9:35 p.m., Train 3885 on the Northeast Corridor Line fatally struck the woman in South Brunswick between Jersey Avenue and Princeton Junction, an NJ Transit spokesperson said.

The train had 110 passengers on board but there were no injuries to them. The train had departed New York Penn Station at 8:37 p.m. and was due to arrive in Trenton at 10:07 p.m.

Passengers and crew were transferred to a following train.

Amtrak police is investigating the incident.
