2 Masked Suspects Try To Break Into South Orange Home: Police
Two people tried to kick down the door of the home. One of them had a crowbar, police said.
SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Two masked suspects tried to break into a South Orange home last week, authorities said.
The South Orange Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place on March 17:
“The SOPD received a call from a resident on Montrose Avenue. The resident stated that while at home, two unknown actors described as wearing jackets with hoods, masks and gloves, with one carrying a crowbar, attempted to kick down the front door of their residence. When hearing the loud bang of the front door, the resident approached the door and yelled at the actors to leave the property, to which they fled to a vehicle parked on Woodland Place.”
Camera footage of the incident has been sent to the detective bureau. A police investigation continues, authorities said.
