SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — It may be safe to say Barstool Sports founder and known pizza enthusiast Dave Portnoy found a great place to grab a bar pie in North Jersey.

Portnoy swung by Bunny's Sports Bar this week to do an impromptu taste test for one of the latest installments of his famous "One Bite" pizza reviews. Bunny's, located at 12-14 S. Orange Ave., is known for its thin-crust pizza and also serves up a mouth-watering selection of burgers, sandwiches, and pasta dishes.

But Portnoy was there for the pizza and, according to his review, it didn't disappoint. Bunny's plain cheese bar pie earned an impressive score of 8.3 out of 10.

"If you like bar pie, thin, crispy, I've got no complaints," Portnoy says after several bites. "Bunny's is out of the clouds. How have I not heard of this?"

Before revealing the score for Bunny's bar pie, Portnoy described the scene at the eatery, saying it had a "very New York vibe."

"They've got 'Piano Man' on repeat ... Giants stuff, Seton Hall stuff. Yankees, Rangers," Portnoy said.

The staff at Bunny's was quick to celebrate the score, thanking Portnoy on social media.

"Thank you Dave for helping this small business and for all your support for ALL businesses throughout the pandemic. It means the world to us," a post on Facebook read. "This Bunny sends our love to you and Miss Peaches. You are always welcome."

Fans of Bunny's also gave them shout-outs on social media.

"Monster score," one person commented on Facebook. "You better stock up on your next food order cause you’re about to get really busy. Congrats."
