Curiosity Shop Burglarized In South Orange: Police

The theft occurred in the middle of the day, police said.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - The South Orange Police are looking for the person responsible for stealing a container of coints from a South Orange business on June 11.

According to authorities, at aproximately 12:15 p.m. the owner of the Ye Olde Curiosity Shop reported a theft from his business. The victim told police that an African American male, approximately six feet tall, with a large frame, in his forties, sporting a beard and wearing dark clothing walked into his store.

As the man was at the counter he stole a six inch can containing approximately 15 half dollar coins, police said. The man exited the store and fled west on South Orange Avenue. police said.

The Detective Bureau is investigating the theft.
