Donate School Supplies to Families and Students in Need
Pick up extra supplies while you're out back to school shopping and donate them to families in the South Orange/Maplewood School District.

Through the YMCA’s National Togetherhood Program, Susanne Rowland, “has been working with other volunteers to reach out to our fellow community members in need.”
As a parent, Rowland, “knows first hand how the start of a new school year can have a financial impact on a family’s budget.”
As you and your children buy school supplies for the upcoming year, consider picking up some extra supplies to donate to children in the South Orange/Maplewood School District whose families are struggling financially. ar.

Supplies needed include:
- single-subject, three-subject & five-subject notebooks
- marble composition books & folders
- three-ring binders & loose-leaf paper
- No. 2 pencils, colored pencils and pencil cases
- pens (blue or black)
- crayons, markers & highlighters
- glue sticks & scissors
- index cards
- combination locks
- backpacks
All donations should be brought to the YMCA (ECLC or Program Center) or camp sites by Friday, August 29.

Supplies can also be dropped off at the YMCA on Saturday, August 30 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. - during the “Togetherhood/Soccerhood Charity Car Wash!”
