Electricity Matters: How to Maintain the Power in an Older Home
The South Orange Historical & Preservation Society hosts a talk

Old home, old wires, modern safety standards, modern comfort. These are not incompatible notions.
On Tuesday, April 24, at 7 p.m. in Village Hall, the South Orange Historical & Preservation Society hosts a talk entitled "Reisdential Electricity: Then and Now." Speaker Monica Merel of Clean Energy Electric and Solar, LLC, of South Orange, will discuss ways homeowners have adapted their home energy over the years (and century).
In South Orange, homes were retrofitted for electric power more than one hundred years ago, well before safety codes were adopted. The talk will explain to homeowners how residential wiring should be maintained and upgraded.
