Family Connections International Tasting is On

FAMILYConnections knows how to throw a party, and the  Seventh Annual International Tasting is a week away,  April 27, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Orange Lawn Tennis Club. Not only does the evening promise fabulous food from around the area, representing many parts of the globe, but it benefits FAMILYConnections and honors Michael R. Griffinger, Esq.

Griffinger, a Director at Gibbons P.C. in Newark, will be recognized for his work to strengthen and enrich the lives of people in Essex County and beyond.

The event is managed by David Ellis Personalized Event Planning and Catering, with  foods donated by area restaurants and caterers, including Serenade, Basilico, Fiorino Ristorante, Dabbawalla, Legal Sea Foods, Hat City Kitchen, and Martini Bistro & Bar. In addition, there will be wine and cheese tastings provided by Amanti Vino and Whole Foods West Orange.

FAMILYConnections is a non-profit counseling and family service agency with more than 30 specialized programs for all ages from infants to seniors.  The agency delivers research-based therapeutic services to improve the quality of life throughout the community by reducing child abuse, drug abuse, gang involvement, and crime; by increasing social and coping skills, school success, and employability; by healing emotional pain and helping individuals and families become strong and independent. The evening of music,  food and wine will benefit over 4,400 children, adults and families in Essex and surrounding counties with professional therapeutic and skills-building services.
