A series of initiatives keeps South Orange at its best

With last week's annual Health Fair a success, the South Orange Department of Health turns its attention to two coming events.

On September 29, the South Orange Department of Health will offer Seasonal Influenza Vaccinations for residents 18 years old and older on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Baird Center. Please note that this clinic is limited to South Orange residents.

Residents with Medicare Part B cards must bring their cards to the clinic in lieu of payment. Residents without Medicare Part B cards will be charged $20.

Women who are pregnant and/or nursing must bring a note from their physician in order to receive the vaccination.

On Monday, November 1, the South Orange Department of Health and Giorgio's Ristorante will present a free healthy cooking seminar, "Living with Diabetes," from 7 to 9 p.m. The presentation and cooking demonstration will be held at Giorgio's Ristorante 52 Vose Avenue South Orange.
