McDonalds Purchase Leads To Burglary Arrest: South Orange Police

Dmitry Tyutin used a stolen credit card for a fast food fix, police said.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - A fast food fix led to the arrest of a 32-year-old East Orange man for credit card theft on July 6, according to the South Orange Police Department.

Dmitry Tyutin was arrested outside of McDonalds in Newark where the stolen card was used, police said.

According to authorities, a Turrell Avenue homeowner reported entered her residence through an unlocked window and stole a wallet and pack of cigarettes from the dining room table.

The victim told detectives that her credit was used at a McDonalds in Newark on July 6 and when detectives responded to McDonalds to view the surveillance video of the suspect using the stolen credit card the suspect was sitting on a wall outside the McDonalds, police said.

Tyutin was placed under arrest and transported to South Orange PD where he was charged with several counts of credit card theft and released, police said.

The investigation into the burglary is still ongoing.
