Police Searching for Essex County Bank Robbery Suspect
Police reported a bank robbery occurred on Tuesday morning in Caldwell.
Police in Caldwell responded to a bank robbery that occurred in Caldwell Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, authorities said.
The bank robbery took place at the Lakeland Bank, located at 49-53 Bloomfield Ave., shortly after 10 a.m. Police said the suspect demanded cash from the teller and left after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.
Caldwell Police described the suspect as a white male, in his 40’s, between 5-feet-8-inches and 6-feet tall. He was described as wearing a plaid jacket with a gray hood, black winter knit style hat with white writing, gray pants, sneakers, sunglasses, tan and black gloves and a Band-Aid on his left cheek.

Police are urging anyone who saw a man fitting the description or anything suspicious to contact Detective Sgt. Brad Palatucci of the Caldwell Police Department at 973-226-2602 ext. 1.
