There's no limit to the amount of money that promgoers (or their parents) can spend if they choose. However, a local resale shop hopes to save local students money on the most of prom must-haves, the dress and the tux.
SAGE Resale Shop, located at 31B Chatham Road in Summit, is featuring prom dresses and tuxes at discounted prices beginning on May 4. In addition, through May 2, Morris Animal Inn in Morristown, NJ, is helping to collect prom attire and accessories to support SAGE in its efforts to provide those less fortunate with prom attire at a lower cost.
“We are hopeful that we will have a wide variety and sizeable collection of prom attire,” stated Rose Rittweger, Manager at the SAGE Resale Shop. “Additionally, we are glad that we can be of assistance to high school students in the area who might be looking for bargains on dresses and tuxes so that they can afford to go to their prom in this tough economy,” she added.
