Seton Hall Student Shot on Tuesday
A student received non-life-threatening injuries at an apartment building, according to a Village statement
A Seton Hall student was shot on Tuesday night, and another was assaulted, according to a statement released by the South Orange Police Department and the Village of South Orange.
At 8:13 p.m. on Tuesday, the police received several 911 calls of shots fired in an apartment at 183 South Orange Avenue. Two individuals apparently entered an apartment, where they then assaulted two students inside with a handgun. One victim was shot.
The suspects then fled. No arrests have been made as of this time.
Both victims were transported to UMDNJ by the South Orange Rescue Squad for non-life threatening injuries. Both victims are Seton Hall students and their families have been notified, according to a university statement.
