South Orange Releases Sandy Survey Results

The Village released information gleaned from online surveys

From the Village website:

The Village today released the aggregation of the raw data associated with the surveys that were filled out to gauge the community's input and feedback on a number of items post Hurricane Sandy. No personally identifiable information is included in any of the reporting or will be included in any forthcoming reports.

Village President Alex Torpey, also the Village's Director of the Office of Emergency Management noted that "Although we're still collecting some data, we have taken the step to post all of the cumulative responses today, and will include this information in our official after-action report, which will include a lot of data and feedback, and how we take steps to prepare for future storms. We have an amazing emergency response infrastructure in South Orange, but can always do better, and these surveys as well as feedback from the individual Neighborhood Association meetings will help inform not only our decision making but where we need to spend our time lobbying at the state level."
