Open call auditions will begin September 9.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Vanguard Theater Company, a NJ-based arts organization, announced auditions for their newest production “Fright Night.” To be presented over Halloween weekend, Fright Night will include selections from Broadway’s "most spine chilling musicals," including Sweeney Todd, Carrie, Rocky Horror, Dracula and Phantom of the Opera.

Open call auditions will take place: Friday, September 9, from 6 - 9pm and Sunday, September 11, from 4 - 8 pm at the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts, 593 Bloomfield Ave, Bloomfield, NJ and Monday, September 12, 6-9pm at South Orange Middle School, 70 N. Ridgewood Road, South Orange, NJ. Due to the nature of the show/material, Vanguard is seeking a mature cast, but all artists living, dead (and those in between) are welcome to audition.

“As always our goal is to produce a quality evening of theater that is both entertaining and affordable. This will be no different. This is going to be our most unorthodox theater experience to date. I am beyond excited” says co-founder Daryl L. Stewart.
