'Strong-Arm' Robbers Arrested: South Orange Police
Two teenagers punched the victim in the face and stole his wallet, police said.
SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Two teenagers from Newark have been arrested and charged with robbery on Irvington Avenue on June 25, according to the South Orange Police Department.
According to authorities, witnesses observed the incident unfold and notified South Orange Police reporting that the victim was punched in the face several times and had his wallet stolen. Both suspects were observed by police in Ivy Hill Park and after a brief foot pursuit both were apprehended, police said.
Hezekiah Mathis, 19, along with a 17-year-old juvenile were both charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, police said. The juvenile was found to be in possession of the victim's credit cards and cash, police said.

Mathis was transported to Essex County Jail and the juvenile was remanded to the Essex County Youth House.
