Authorities Investigating Fatal Shooting in Union County
The Union County Prosecutor's Office announced the county's Homicide Task Force is investigating a homicide in the county.

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office announced it is investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Union County Monday night.
The shooting occurred in Rahway on Monday night, June 8, authorities said. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Nigel Morton.
Rahway Police responded to a home in the 1200 block of Westfield Avenue at approximately 10:10 p.m. Monday and found Morton suffering from a gunshot wound, authorities said. He was rushed to University Hospital in Newark for emergency medical treatment, but succumbed to his injuries at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The Union County Homicide Task Force and the Rahway Police Department, with the Union County Sheriff’s Office assisting, is investigating the homicide.
