Car Crashes Into Building In Union County

The driver was arrested.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — A driver crashed their car into a building on Wednesday, Springfield Police said.

At around 4:30 p.m., the vehicle hit the building at 65 Springfield Ave., which houses Operating Engineers Local 825.

The building was significantly damaged, but is still "structurally sound," authorities said.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be checked out for injuries and is charged with suspected driving under the influence.
