Cops: Intoxicated Springfield Woman Causes 3-Car Crash in Parsippany
One of the other drivers was brought to the hospital for neck pain.

An intoxicated driver caused a 3-car crash with injuries on Saturday night in Parsippany, Parsippany Police said.
Kaitlin Murphy, 22 of Springfield, was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing and reckless driving.
Patrol Sgt. Sean Jasiecki and officers Peter Kolln and Robert Smollen got to the area of Route 46 and Beverwyck Road around 10 p.m. and arrested Murphy when their investigation showed she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police said.

Murphy was driving a 2013 Honda Civic when she rear-ended a 2009 Toyota Camry hard enough to cause the Camry to rear-end the 1996 Honda Civic in front of it, police said. The Camry and the 1996 Civic were stopped at a red light on Route 46, according to a release from Officer Remo D’Alessandro.
The two Camry passengers—a 67-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman—did not need medical attention. Two Jersey City women were in the ’96 Civic. The 50-year-old passenger was fine, but the driver, 44, said she had neck pain and was brought to Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville, according to the release.
